If you've had a back or neck injury, reducing pain and getting back to your daily routine is at the top of your list. Our back and neck rehab therapists can help you do just that. Your injury requires specialized treatment, and the therapist will work with you to develop a plan to get you back into life through a variety of treatment techniques.

      • McKenzie Method®: A successful treatment used to reduce pain and increase strength through a series of exercises taught by therapists trained in the method.
      • Dry needling: Dry needling is a treatment that healthcare providers, including physical therapists, use for pain and movement issues. With this technique, a provider inserts small, thin needles into or near a trigger point. The needles stimulate the muscles and cause them to contract or twitch. This helps to relieve pain and improve range of motion.
      • Graston technique: Graston Technique is a soft tissue mobilization technique with special instruments used to perform a form of manual therapy by trained physical and occupational therapy providers. The instruments are a special ergonomic stainless-steel tool used to gently massage and scrape sections of the skin. This technique is used to break down scare tissue as well as stretch connective tissue and muscle fibers. Graston technique is used through muscles, tendons and ligaments and on wide variety of acute and chronic conditions.

For more information on back and neck rehab, call (740) 455-5151 or (877) 455-5151.

The brain injury rehabilitation program is designed for patients with non-traumatic or traumatic brain injuries and their families. The therapists work with the family to help the brain injury survivors reach their highest possible level of functional independence.

      Goals are Set

Specific goals are established for your loved one, based on needs, and may include the following areas:

      • Self-care, communication, mobility skills and balance retraining
      • Management of swallowing deficits
      • Developing effective coping strategies
      • Home management
      • Community reintegration
      • Evaluation of potential to return home
      • Individualized team-based discharge planning

Your involvement as a family member is very important to your loved one’s recovery process. Family education programs are offered for stroke patients and their caregivers, providing information about cause of strokes, risk factors and stroke recovery processes.
