The American Board for Certification of Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) is the national certifying and accrediting body for orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic professions. The ABC has become the quality standard for certification. It provides credentialing for mastectomy fitters and facility accreditation for the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS), Veterans’ Administrations and other health care insurance providers. The Genesis Women’s Boutique mastectomy fitters are certified by the ABC.

The certified mastectomy fitters at Genesis meet education and experience requirements to be eligible to take the certification exam. After they receive their certification, fitters must maintain continuing education for maintenance of this credential.

We make sure to take the time with you to meet your needs. We have supplies like prostheses, bras and shapers for purchase on-site, and we can order items to be shipped to your home. We’ll assist with contacting your insurance for coverage. Insurance covers replacement prosthetics and bras at certain intervals. If you don’t have insurance, our compassionate staff can help you determine if you qualify for financial assistance.
