Protect the moments you dream about
When Natalie Thompson learned she had breast cancer, her greatest fear wasn’t the diagnosis. It was missing the chance to watch her daughter grow up. Screening mammograms can help find breast cancer early, often before it can be felt.
Know your screening milestones
The National Comprehensive Cancer Network recommends the following screening guidelines for women at average risk:
- Age 25: Breast cancer risk assessment
- Age 40: Begin annual screening mammograms
- Know when your next mammogram is due

Could you benefit from earlier screening?
Breast cancer risk is different for everyone. Talk with your provider if you have:
- A family history of breast cancer
- Certain genetic mutations
- Other factors that may increase your risk
- Questions about when to start screening
Women at higher-than-average risk may need checkups every 6 to 12 months, along with additional screening. Understanding your health history can help you choose a screening plan that’s best for you. Early detection can lead to more treatment options, less aggressive treatment and better outcomes, helping you protect the future you dream about.
