Therapy Dogs

Hospital visits and long days can feel overwhelming. Our therapy dogs bring calm, connection, and moments of joy to patients, families, and caregivers throughout Genesis HealthCare System.

We know that medical care isn’t just physical—it’s emotional, too. Stress, anxiety, and loneliness can be part of the journey for patients and their loved ones. That’s why our Caring Canines Program exists: to offer warmth, reassurance, and emotional support through the gentle presence of certified therapy dogs.

Our therapy dogs and handlers are trained volunteers who bring compassion and comfort into clinical and non-clinical spaces across Genesis HealthCare System.

Meet our caring canines

Each of our therapy dogs has a unique personality, but they all share one thing in common—a love for helping others feel at ease. Get to know the dogs who bring comfort to Genesis patients, visitors and staff.

  • Complete requirements and training, then choose the Genesis location and schedule that works for you.

Want to share your dog’s gift for comfort?
