Zanesville, Ohio (May 5, 2016) – Genesis Hospital received an “A” grade for spring 2016 from The Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, for being among the safest hospitals in the United States. Genesis was one of only 44 hospitals in Ohio to earn this distinction.

It is calculated by top patient safety experts, peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
The grades used in the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Score℠ program are derived from expert analysis of publicly available data using national evidence-based measures of patient safety.
