I’m Stephen Knox, MD and I grew up in the Zanesville area. I feel blessed to be able to come back and serve this community. I think it’s vital to get to know your patient on a personal level so I can relate to them and treat the patient more effectively. I chose primary care as my specialty because I feel that I can really make an impact on the community. I really connected with Family Medicine because getting to treat a family creates a better relationship with the patients.

Deanna Osborn, D.O., has joined Genesis Primary Care, specializing in family medicine. Dr. Osborn earned her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. She completed her internship and family practice residency at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.

Dr. Osborn is board-certified and brings over 27 years of experience in family, functional and integrative medicine, including seven years at Genesis New Concord Family Practice. She completed a fellowship in Functional and Integrative Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). Functional medicine focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of health concerns, while integrative medicine combines traditional treatments with approaches like nutrition, lifestyle changes and stress management to support overall wellness. Dr. Osborn is dedicated to delivering personalized care that promotes a healthy lifestyle.

Kevin D Frank, M.D., FAAFP, joined Genesis Primary Care in 2018 establishing two new offices in Perry County, located in Junction City and Somerset.  He completed his medical school training at Wright State University School of Medicine (now the Boonshoft School of Medicine) in 1998 and his family medicine residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center in 2001.  He is a board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and earned the Degree of Fellow in 2025.  He is an active member of our medical staff leadership, Medical Director with Genesis Primary Care, and is pursuing an MBA and CPE from the American Academy of Physician Leaders.

Dr. Frank has a passion for rural medicine and has spent his entire career in Southeastern Ohio.  His practice incorporates all ages from newborns through geriatric patients. He has a team of dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioners who work alongside him in both Perry County offices, and dedicated support staff to help care for his patients.  He is able to do minor surgical procedures, preventive care and vaccination, and chronic disease management.  His offices participate in the Vaccines For Children program so all pediatric patients can receive necessary vaccines regardless of insurance coverage.
