Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit

Opening in Spring 2026, the Genesis Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit will provide short-term care for youth seeking immediate behavioral health support close to home.

By offering care locally, the Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit will help reduce the need for hospitalization or placement outside the county. Team members will provide a safe, supportive space where youth can stabilize and prepare for their next step, while helping families stay connected.

Our program serves:

  • Youth ages 10-17 from Muskingum, Coshocton, Guernsey, Noble, Morgan and Perry counties
  • Youth may be referred from Child Protective Services, Mobile Response and Stabilization Services, courts and juvenile programs

Youth will take part in a two-week program focused on safety, stability and growth, including:

  • Individualized care for up to eight youth
  • Structured programming, including educational and social activities
  • Trauma-informed care
  • Individual and group therapy
  • On-site classroom teacher
  • Outdoor greenspace
  • Basketball court
  • Discharge planning with community-based referrals
