Support for youth and families closer to home

When youth need extra care, staying connected to family, school and routines can make a meaningful difference.
Genesis Behavioral Health opened a Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit (YCSU) for youth ages 10 to 17, offering a place where young people can receive mental health support close to home.
The program provides short-term behavioral healthcare in a safe, welcoming environment to help youth build coping skills, stay engaged and take positive steps forward with the support of their families and care teams.
The two-week program provides youth with individualized support, including:
- Individual and group therapy
- Trauma-informed care
- Educational and social activities
- On-site classroom teacher
- Planning for continued care after discharge
