Genesis Hospice Capital Campaign
Genesis Hospice Care has been an integral part of our system for over 35 years and serves as our community’s only nonprofit, charitable hospice provider with a dedicated inpatient unit. Beyond that, we are the only hospice provider in the area that can provide care at the patient’s home, family member’s home, nursing home, assisted care facility or at our inpatient Morrison House facility.
Morrison House offers patients a comfortable home-like setting to receive short-term care while giving family members a break from providing care or to help control uncontrolled symptoms. The Morrison House is staffed 24 hours a day with nurses and patient care technicians for the highest level of compassionate and quality care.
Making every day matter
- Spiritual services – provided by two dedicated hospice chaplains
- We Honor Veterans – for those who served our country
- Pet Peace of Mind – feed and supplies for patients’ pet
- Pet therapy
- Music therapy
- Grief counseling and support groups
- Hospice Clowns
- Annual Precious Memories event
- Oxygen and suction in each room
- Private bathrooms
- Increased space in patient rooms for private family area
- Providers, nurses, social workers and chaplains available
The current Morrison House building has reached the very end of its useful life and must be replaced. Therefore, we have decided to build a new replacement inpatient facility to serve our patients and families for decades to come.
By building a new building, we will be able to maintain operations during construction, ensuring our community has the resources it needs.
