Ask the Experts

Ask the Experts - Cancer survivors event

Cancer survivors can face many challenges including physical, psychological, social and financial issues related to their diagnosis and cancer treatments.

The American Cancer Society uses the term cancer survivor to refer to anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer no matter where they are in the course of their disease. Cancer survivors can face many challenges including physical, psychological, social and financial issues related to their diagnosis and cancer treatments.

Our team has developed an “Ask the Experts” panel who will present information on various topics important to cancer survivorship care in a group setting several times a year. The experts answer questions, and guide and engage in discussions relevant to our cancer survivors and their family members, friends and caregivers.

Our winter program experts and topics include:

Erin Remster, D.O., Palliative Medicine Physician
Evidence-based strategies to manage fatigue, “chemo brain” and common sleep issues during and after cancer treatment

Elizabeth Lear, PharmD, BCOP, BCPS, Cancer Care Center Pharmacist
Management of cough and cold symptoms
