Home > Patients & Visitors > Health Library > Achilles Tendon Injury: Calf Squeeze Test
The calf squeeze test can identify an
Achilles tendon rupture. This test may be done while you are kneeling on a chair with your feet hanging down over
the edge of a chair, or lying face down with your feet hanging over the edge of the table, or lying face down with your knee
bent up to 90 degrees. While you are in one of these positions, your doctor will squeeze your calf.
