Tree of Love Lights Nov. 21
Tuesday, October 28, 2014
The Tree of Love lights for the first time this holiday season on Friday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. The lighting ceremony is free and open to the public. The ceremony will be held at the main entrance to Genesis-Good Samaritan Hospital due to the construction of the new Genesis Hospital at Genesis-Bethesda. There’ll be holiday music, entertainment, refreshments and visits with Santa.
The centerpiece of the Tree of Love is a large tree lit with hundreds of bulbs. For a donation of $5, you can have a bulb lit on the Tree of Love in honor or in memory of loved ones or friends. The names will be displayed in the main lobby of the hospital. Individual trees are available for $100 and plaques honoring or remembering a loved one are $50. The deadline to put your order in for a tree is Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Funds from the Tree of Love go toward the new Genesis hospital. You can donate to the Tree of Love through the end of December. Find out how to donate by going to www.genesishcs.org or calling Genesis Volunteer Services at (740) 454-5454.
