Genesis HealthCare System Receives Score of 8 out of 10 for Most Wired
New Recognition as Most Wired Ambulatory
ZANESVILLE, OH – (Sept. 19, 2019) - Genesis HealthCare System has earned the 2019 College of HealthCare Information Management Executives (CHIME) HealthCare’s Most Wired recognition as a certified Level 8. Genesis has also won the new recognition of most wired ambulatory care. The Most Wired program conducted annual surveys of 16,168 organizations to assess how effectively healthcare organizations adopt, integrate and use technology in healthcare.
“We are honored to receive the 2019 Most Wired Quality Award,” said Ed Romito, chief information officer at Genesis HealthCare System. “Our very talented team of IT professionals is strategically implementing innovative information technology solutions to enhance the patient experience at Genesis. We’re pleased to be recognized as a hospital using information technology to benefit our patients, caregivers and employees for safer, faster, better health care.”
Each participating organization receives an overall score and scores for individual levels in eight segments: infrastructure; security; business/disaster recovery; administrative/supply chain; analytics/data management; interoperability/population health; patient engagement; and clinical quality/safety. Participants can use the report and scores to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
This is the second year that CHIME has conducted surveys and overseen the program. Last year CHIME made numerous improvements to the survey, governance and scoring methodology.
