Genesis Breast Care Center Receives Donation

Chris Crook Presents Check to Genesis Breast Care Center | October Initiative Raises $2,000
ZANESVILLE, OHIO (Dec. 14, 2018) Chris Crook, a photographer for the Zanesville Times Recorder, raised $2,000 for patients of the Genesis Breast Care Center during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Crook challenged TR readers to donate to the center, and upon reaching his $2,000 fundraising goal, he honored his pledge to dye his hair bright pink.
“We are grateful to Chris for his generosity in helping to donate $2,000 to the Genesis Breast Care Center,” said Shannon Hanley, M.D., breast surgeon at the Breast Care Center. “The funds will be used to supply supplemental breast cancer education materials to our cancer-positive patients.”
The Genesis Breast Care Center, located in the Genesis HealthPlex, offers appointments with Dr. Hanley and Amy Rice, APRN-CNP, certified nurse practitioner, for breast health needs of women and men. The center is recognized by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and a designated Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.
