Coal Miners Day Proclaimed on Friday, Sept. 14

Honor those who presently work or have worked in the coal industry

ZANESVILLE, OH (Sept. 18, 2018) Zanesville Mayor Jeff Tilton proclaimed Friday, Sept. 14, as Coal Miners Day. The proclamation was presented at the Coal Miners Appreciation Day, sponsored yearly by the black lung program at Genesis Lung Services.

“The need to provide care for those who have breathing problems due to employment is a major need in our area, and we’re pleased to honor those who presently work or have worked in the coal industry,” said Charles M. Feicht, D.O., CWSP, black lung program physician at the Genesis Lung Clinic.
