Genesis Provides Free Symposium on Substance Use Disorders
Zanesville, OH (Oct. 24, 2014) – Genesis HealthCare System is sponsoring a symposium called “Ethical Issues in the Treatment of Persons with Substance Use Disorders.” The symposium will be Thursday, Nov. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at North Terrace Church of Christ in Zanesville. Doors open at 5 p.m. for a reception and the opportunity to visit with vendors.
The symposium features Geneva Sanford, MSW, LSW, LICDC-CS, substance abuse coordinator, Trauma Services at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She’ll discuss the pervasiveness of alcohol and drug use and the variety of interventions and treatments to address substance use disorders. Sanford will also talk about ethical principles and issues impacting treatment and decision-making.
