About Me

Atiq Rehman, M.D., is a cardiothoracic surgeon and Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery with the Genesis Heart & Vascular Group. Dr. Rehman specializes in coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, aortic disease, carotid artery disease and thoracic pathology. Dr. Rehman has performed more than 3,000 open heart cases, including 600 minimally invasive and 300 robotic-assisted coronary artery bypass or valvular heart surgeries. He has also performed more than 400 transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR), including transcatheter mitral valve replacements. Dr. Rehman is a proctor for TAVR. He teaches cardiac surgeons and cardiologists world-wide how to perform this procedure.
