Your contributions to Genesis make a difference. In these times of economic turmoil, you have continued to support us as we provide compassionate, quality care to those who live in our communities, and we are grateful.
In 2010, more than $2.1 million was given to Genesis by our donors, both past and present. Annually, the foundation receives support from estates established years ago by very generous individuals interested in making a lasting difference on the quality of health care within our community.
We are also fortunate to have the support of volunteers who raise hundreds of thousands of dollars each year through special events such as the ProAm Golf Tournament, Zaney Follies, dinner theater productions and other events. Other sources of revenue include memorial contributions to loved ones and grants. Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National City breast cancer grants have been used to provide screenings and diagnostic tests to uninsured or underinsured women in our area.
