In a medical emergency, members of the community rely on our full-service emergency departments, where high quality care is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
When patients arrive at Genesis-Good Samaritan or Genesis-Bethesda Emergency Department, they are triaged to determine the nature of their illness or injury.
The Genesis-Good Samaritan emergency department is home to our Level III Trauma Center and is primarily designed to treat patients with serious or life-threatening emergencies. While patients with minor illnesses or injuries can also receive care here, they may experience extended waiting times while patients with more serious emergencies are treated first.
