Genesis Radiation Cancer Care Center
Led by board-certified radiation oncologists, the Radiation Cancer Treatment Center is fully-equipped with some of the most impressive treatment and diagnostic technology available.
The center is home to a state-of-the art linear accelerator which allows for two of the latests cancer treatments: Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT).
IMRT blasts tumors with higher doses of radiation, while sparing surrounding healthy tissue. The technique decreases side affects while increasing positive outcomes.
IGRT involves 3D images directly prior to each cancer treatment, allowing the radiation oncology physicians to see if the tumor is shrinking or moving, to measure the treatment field with exactness, and to spare normal tissue by changing the treatment field prior to treatment.
