Your Genesis Bill

We want to make paying your Genesis bill as clear and easy as we can. Whether you have insurance or not, we have several options that may help you.

Pay Ahead

When you know ahead of time that you’ll be coming to Genesis for tests or procedures, you’ll have several opportunities to pay what you owe. The fees may include co-payments, deductibles and co-insurance. You can pay your upfront fees when you schedule your appointment, when a Genesis representative calls to pre-register you for your appointment or when you arrive for your appointment.

If You Have Insurance

We accept a large number of health plans and networks. If you have health insurance, we’ll bill your insurance company shortly after your visit. We’ll send you a billing statement that shows we’ve billed your insurance, and we’ll continue to send statements showing what and when your insurance pays. You should also receive Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements from your insurance company.

After we receive the insurance payment, we’ll send you a final billing statement that explains the remaining balance you may owe. Payment is due when you receive the final statement. If you’re not able to pay in full, we have short- and long-term payment plans.

If You Don't Have Insurance

If you don’t have health insurance, we can apply a discount to your bill. After the discount, we’ll ask for payment in full, but if you aren’t able to pay, we can set up a payment plan or work with you on other options, such as signing up for Medicaid.

Patient Financial Services Can Help

Whether you have insurance or not, we can help. Our caring staff in Patient Financial Services can set up a short- or long-term payment plan. They can also work with you on other options.

If you meet certain poverty guidelines, you may be able to get help. Basic, medically necessary hospital services are provided free of charge or at reduced fees for those who are unable to pay. Your family income must be below 300% of the government’s poverty guidelines to be eligible. If you think you might be eligible, fill out this financial assistance application and mail it to one of the addresses on the application.
