Genesis Will Open New Behavioral Health Facility

Zanesville, OH (July 7, 2014) – Genesis will open a modern facility this month to bring all of its behavioral health services together in one location. Previously inpatient and outpatient services were in different locations.

The premier facility is the only comprehensive behavioral health center in southeastern Ohio. The new Genesis Behavioral Health has inpatient adult, child and adolescent care; substance abuse support and recovery programs; outpatient adult, adolescent and child psychiatric care; and partial hospitalization.

“This truly is part of the Genesis mission to provide compassionate, quality care,” said Karen Green, director of Genesis Behavioral Health. “We listened to people in the community and were able to provide features patients asked for in the newly renovated building,” she said.

Genesis Behavioral Health staff worked with architects to incorporate open spaces with natural light, private rooms, exercise equipment, separate outdoor areas for children and adults, and quiet areas. The new Genesis Behavioral Health is located in the former Forest View building behind Genesis-Bethesda Hospital. For more information about Genesis Behavioral Health, call (740) 454-4778.
