Tree of Love Lights Nov. 20

Zanesville, OH (Oct. 27, 2015) -- The Tree of Love lights for the first time this holiday season on Friday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. The lighting ceremony is free and open to the public. The ceremony will be held at the main entrance to Genesis Hospital. There’ll be holiday music, entertainment, refreshments and visits with Santa.

The centerpiece of the Tree of Love is a large tree lit with hundreds of bulbs. For a donation of $5, you can have a bulb lit on the Tree of Love in honor or in memory of loved ones or friends. For a $25 donation, you can have a poinsettia honoring or remembering a loved one displayed on a poinsettia tree in the main lobby. Individual trees are available for $100, and the deadline to put your order in for a tree is Monday, Nov. 16. Your name and the name of the person you’re honoring or remembering will be displayed in the main lobby of the hospital for all donations.

Funds from the Tree of Love go to Genesis HealthCare System. You can donate to the Tree of Love through the end of December. Find out how to donate or call Genesis Volunteer Services at (740) 454-4700.
