Tree of Love Lights Nov. 20

Zanesville, OH (Nov. 11, 2015) – The Tree of Love lighting ceremony is Friday, Nov. 20. The public is invited to share in the ceremony at the main entrance of Genesis Hospital. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with music by the Brass Ensemble of the Zanesville Memorial Concert Band. There will also be entertainment by the Broadway Babies musical group and Ty Kumorowski. Refreshments will be available, and children can visit Santa in the Genesis Hospital lobby after the lighting ceremony. The event is free.

The centerpiece of the Tree of Love is a large tree lit with hundreds of bulbs. For a donation of $5, you can have a bulb lit on the Tree of Love in honor or in memory of friends or family members. Poinsettias are available for $25 each. Individual trees are available for $100, and the deadline to put your order in for a tree is Monday, Nov. 16. Your name and the name of the person you’re honoring or remembering will be displayed in the main lobby of the hospital for all donations.

Funds from the Tree of Love benefit Genesis HealthCare System. You can donate to the Tree of Love through the end of December. Find out how to donate by calling Genesis Volunteer Services at (740) 454-4700.
