Genesis Receives Donation of Wheelchairs

Zanesville, Ohio (July 28, 2015)Genesis recently received a donation to purchase 50 wheelchairs for the new hospital. Retired Master Sgt. Robert Northcutt made the donation for the wheelchairs. “I was very happy to do it,” Northcutt said. “I thought the wheelchairs would be a great way to provide comfort to patients, and it was something that would be long-lasting.”

Paul McClelland, executive director, Genesis HealthCare Foundation, expressed his gratitude for the donation. “Mr. Northcutt’s generous donation will ensure we’re able to meet the needs of patients and visitors in the new Genesis Hospital.” One of the ways in which the new wheelchairs meet these needs is with IV poles and oxygen tank holders. The wheelchairs also range in size from adult to children.

Northcutt’s donation is just one of the ways community members help patients and visitors in the new Genesis Hospital. “We’re very grateful for Northcutt’s support and the support of thousands of donors and volunteers who make the new hospital a reality for our community,” said McClelland.
