Tree of Love Lighting Is Nov. 21

The Tree of Love lighting ceremony is Friday, Nov. 21. The public is invited to share in the ceremony at the main entrance of Genesis-Good Samaritan Hospital. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with music by the Brass Ensemble of the Zanesville Memorial Concert Band. There will also be entertainment by the Broadway Babies, Ty Kumorowski and the Genesis Dance Academy. Refreshments will be available, and children can visit Santa in the Genesis-Good Samaritan cafeteria after the lighting ceremony. The event is free.

The centerpiece of the Tree of Love is a large tree lit with hundreds of bulbs. For a donation of $5, you can have a bulb lit on the Tree of Love in honor or in memory of friends or family members with the names displayed in the main lobby of Genesis-Good Samaritan Hospital. Plaques honoring or remembering a loved one are $50.

Funds from the Tree of Love go toward the new Genesis Hospital. You can donate to the Tree of Love through the end of December. Find out how to donate by going to www.genesishcs.org or calling Genesis Volunteer Services at (740) 454-5454.
