Genesis Offers Falls Prevention Program

Zanesville, OH (Nov. 4, 2014) Genesis offers free programs to help community members prevent falls. The number one reason people in our area need to come to the Emergency Department (ED) is due to a fall. Senior citizens and children are at the highest risk of falling.

The Genesis Trauma Services team and Genesis Rehabilitation therapists provide fall prevention assessments at no cost to community groups. The Senior Lifestyles and Injury Prevention (SLIP) is an interactive presentation covering fall prevention safety for seniors. The presentation can be scheduled for 10 to 50 people, and each attendee receives a fall risk assessment at no cost.

To schedule a fall risk program for your group, contact Rebecca Geyer, R.N., Genesis Trauma Services, at (740) 455-7670.
