Genesis Announces Community Service Award Recipients
Zanesville, OH (Oct. 3, 2014) – The Genesis HealthCare Foundation announced Bud and Audrey St. Clair as the recipients of the 2014 Genesis Community Service Award. This award annually recognizes outstanding people in our area who have significantly contributed to the community and demonstrated the Genesis values of compassion, trust, innovation and excellence.
Bud and Audrey have been dedicated volunteers in various services and events throughout Genesis for many years. The couple volunteers weekly in the Genesis Heart & Vascular Rehab gym. “They embody the spirit of the Genesis values of excellence, compassion, innovation and trust and are very deserving of this award,” said Sharon Francis, R.N., Genesis Heart & Vascular Rehab.
The St. Clairs enjoy helping patients, working with staff and making a difference in the community. Throughout the years the St. Clairs have been an integral part of the Genesis Pro-Am Golf Tournament, Coal Miners Appreciation Day and the annual Tree of Love, a fundraiser by Genesis Volunteers.
Bud is a Korean War veteran. He worked for Armco Steel for 38 years and retired in 1992. Audrey volunteered as an emergency medical technician with the Licking County Volunteer Fire Department. The St. Clairs will celebrate their 59th wedding anniversary this year. Bud and Audrey will be honored at the Genesis Community Service award dinner in October.
