He has received numerous national and international awards for his work and is a well-known speaker on orthopedic topics.

Dr. Fu is the editor of 26 major orthopedic textbooks and the author of more than 80 book chapters on the management of sports injuries, and he has authored or coauthored more than 270 peer-reviewed articles. He serves on the editorial boards of many orthopaedic journals including American Journal of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy, and Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.
