M. Magdy Migeed, M.D.,
F.A.C.C., cardiac electrophysiologist
, has joined Genesis as the medical
director of heart rhythm
services, completing a full range of heart services available at our
hospital. He is board-certified in cardiology and clinical cardiac
electrophysiology.

Cardiac electrophysiology
is a specialty in which the physician diagnoses and treats the abnormal
electrical and rhythm activities of the heart. If you have problems such
as palpitations or a rapid heart beat, you may be seen by Dr. Migeed after
your cardiologist or primary care physician refers you.
Dr. Migeed
completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship in cardiology at
Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY. He then completed a fellowship in
clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Massachusetts. Dr.
Migeed served as an emergency room physician with the U.S. Army in
Heidelberg and Frankfurt, Germany. He was also the director of cardiac
arrhythmia service at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in New Jersey.
Dr. Migeed’s areas of clinical expertise are pacemakers and
cardiac defibrillator implants; resynchronization device implants for
heart failure; ablation of abnormal heart tissue that cause arrhythmia;
management of atrial fibrillation (including AF ablation); and remote
magnetic navigation.
