Genesis Salutes Nurses May 6-12

Genesis HealthCare System is celebrating National Nurses Week, May 6-12. Nursing team members are being honored for the hard work, dedication and compassion they demonstrate every day in their care for patients, family members and visitors.

 

Several activities are planned for the week, including receptions at Genesis-Bethesda and Genesis-Good Samaritan. For those nursing staff members who work nights, refreshments will be delivered to the units during their shifts.

 

Awards will also be given during the week to nursing staff members who exemplify P.R.I.D.E., which stands for Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Dedication and Excellence. Several nursing leaders will also be presented awards for their outstanding contributions in clinical leadership and a registered nurse will be named Nurse of the Year for 2005.
